Well, you already know I only went to see Panic. There's nothing more evil than las vegas. except maybe millenial pop punk music festivals. Either way, I'm in no rush to spend another 12 hours standing in the hot sun with no food or water, being crushed by a bunch of sweaty 30 year old men, dressed like ryan ross, and subjected to nonstop mind-numbing nostalgiabait "music". But it was so worth it for the final act of course.
All of afycso. live. for the first and last time in over a decade. Of course, only 2/4 of the creators were there. but it was still like. life changing. or something.
Highlights:
ꕤ wearing my "rest in peace princess diana" ryan shirt to the hard rock cafe where his vest is and causing 3 girls to double over laughing (or crying? couldn't tell) when they saw it
ꕤ playing patty cake with michael on the (gross) ground under people's feet during weezer because we couldn't stand anymore
ꕤ obnoxiously dancing with michael during the instrumental part on there's a good reason, stomped on 2 people's feet + accidentally stabbed him in the eye on "when I spike the PUNCH!"
ꕤ mosh pit started right in front of us during knocked loose so i hid behind michael like a coward. he stood his ground tho. they grow up so fast!
ꕤ spencer smith came onstage for i write sins... whew.. almost felt alive for a second there
ꕤ leaving after panic, completely exhausted, dying of dehydration, borderline
hallucinating, stumbling like 2 drunks, and butchering northern downpour
(we got many death stares)

Insane improvement from the last time I saw him (especially because he
seemed like he actually wanted to be here and didn't play the whole show
facing away from the crowd...). but seriously him and his band r amazing and they
put in so much effort this time.
Highlights:
ꕤ told us to "SHUT THE FUCK UP." because we "HAVE NO IDEA THE CONCENTRATION THIS TAKES." while playing his jazz piano solo
ꕤ climbed up on the scaffolding and started doing a stupid dance during blessing
ꕤ claimed he was gonna play a cover of a beloved chicago band and then just started playing another of his songs
ꕤ said he was taking requests and never took a single one
as i was leaving some asshole told his gf: "I'M GLAD YOU HAD A GOOD
TIME BUT THAT WAS THE WORST CONCERT I'VE EVER BEEN TO".
I hope they break up and he gets hit by a car

first concert completely alone! very awkward cuz i didn't know anyone there.
truly amazing, tiny shows are the best thing ever. everyone was actually jumping and stage diving and stuff which i never saw at shows in seattle. i love febuary so much i wish i bought a shirt.
somewhat corny quotes from Rila (just kidding):
"i hope this is emo enough for you..."
"this emo shit’s no joke. it saved my life and i’m sure it saved yours too."

went with my bestie, we took the train in like mature independent
adults. went 2 uwajimiya for lunch and i can only imagine what the
japanese grandmas doing weekend shopping thought of the hoardes of emos
in the food court. Almost didnt get in because my elderly decaying phone cant show ticket barcodes so we had to transfer them to my friend's which was at 1%, we scanned them with a second to spare
Highlights:
ꕤ ray toro jesus framed in majestic orange light, hair blowing in the wind, playing an acoustic guitar
ꕤ cool ass new ending for mama with an opera singer???
ꕤ oomf's fan project got noticed by gerard
ꕤ they played vampires which is literally MY SONG. okay?
ꕤ ended on helena after i subliminally begged for it yup yup yup
no early sunsets. still haven't forgiven you frank iero.
we had to rush to catch the train to make the last ferry and we were
crammed in like sardines i feel so bad for the people coming
home from work

first concert w/o my dad lol, brought my friend who's never been to a
concert in her Life. she learned what a mosh pits and encores are this day. Every
time someone would come out to test an instrument my friend would go
"is THAT one frank iero??"
Highlights:
ꕤ several bright eyed & bushy tailed young emos brought frapple signs to obnoxiously wave at frank
ꕤ anthony green being a sorcerer + waving his hands over the crowd and saying weird mystical shit about "the essence of rock and roll". Never make eye contact with blue eyed people btw
ꕤ we were right in the front so we were like 10 feet from anthony but then a bunch of guys started a mosh pit right there and almost trampled us so we had to flee to the back (it was kinda fun though)
ꕤ cute girl telepathically communicated that she liked my ridiculous panda eyeliner
And we won't talk about the opening bands.
